Privacy Policy

This policy explains how GoDeeper handles information when you use our app and website. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@eljam.io.

1. Information we collect

• Account and profile: A guest account has a unique account identifier, even if you do not provide an email address. We store the profile information you provide, such as your name, relationship context, conversation goals and preferred decks. On supported Apple devices, Apple Sign-In can provide your name, email address or private relay address and an account identifier.
• App activity: Questions completed, skipped or saved as favourites, deck progress, preferences and interactions with app features. These records can be associated with your account identifier.
• Subscriptions: Purchase and entitlement information, such as the product purchased, transaction identifier, purchase status and expiry. Apple or Google processes payment details; GoDeeper does not receive your full payment-card details.
• Device, diagnostics and measurement: Device and app versions, device identifiers, advertising identifiers where available and permitted, IP address, approximate region, referral and campaign information, app events, crash reports and performance information. Analytics can be linked to an account or device identifier; they are not necessarily anonymous.
• Optional features and support: Information you send to support and content you choose to submit through available sharing or partner features. The availability of these features differs by platform and rollout.
• Website: Page views, referral and campaign information, browser/device information and download-link clicks. Advertising measurement tools may process these events when enabled.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate the app, save progress, personalise questions and recommendations, verify subscriptions, provide requested reminders and sharing features, respond to support and privacy requests, diagnose problems, protect the service and measure how people discover and use GoDeeper.

When AI question generation is available and used, selected conversation context, preferences and recent question interactions are sent for processing to generate relevant questions. You do not need to record or submit your spoken answers to use conversation cards.

3. Providers and disclosures

We use service providers and platform services for the following purposes. The services used depend on your platform, available features and settings:

• Supabase: Account authentication, database and storage.
• Apple and Google Play: App distribution, subscription billing and purchase restoration; Apple also provides optional Apple Sign-In.
• RevenueCat: Subscription verification, purchase history and entitlement management.
• PostHog: Product analytics associated with account/device identifiers. App session replay is disabled in the current implementation.
• Sentry: Error reports, diagnostic events and performance monitoring, which may include account identifiers.
• AppsFlyer: Install attribution and advertising campaign measurement using app events and device/account identifiers.
• Meta and TikTok: Advertising measurement where enabled on supported platforms; Meta may also measure website visits and download-link clicks.
• Vercel and OpenAI: Website hosting and AI question processing where those features are used.

Information can also be disclosed when you choose to share content, when reasonably necessary to protect the service, or to meet a legal obligation. We do not sell your conversation content.

4. Security and international processing

Our app services use HTTPS to protect information in transit. Access controls limit access to account data. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own.

5. Your choices

You can choose which optional profile details to provide and whether to use optional features. You can manage notification permissions and available advertising or tracking controls in your device settings. On iOS, tracking permission is managed through Apple’s tracking controls. These controls do not necessarily stop operational diagnostics or all product analytics. Browser privacy controls can limit website tracking.

Contact hello@eljam.io to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your information, or to object to particular processing. Your rights depend on applicable law. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep account and activity information to provide the service until the account is deleted or the information is no longer needed. In-app account deletion removes the account and associated records from the app database. It does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription.

Deletion from the app database does not instantly erase records held separately by billing, analytics or diagnostic providers. Limited records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security or backup purposes. Contact us to request deletion across these services and to receive details of any retained records and the applicable completion period.

7. Age and content

GoDeeper on Google Play is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Conversation decks can include mature relationship and intimacy themes. Store content ratings are assigned separately by regional rating authorities. Contact us if you believe information has been collected from someone below the intended age.
